More Growing Up.

Ned is gone for the weekend, so it was a perfect excuse for something Denise had been wanting to do awhile now: rent a car. It's awesome to have a roommate with a truck, especially since we're only here for three months, but this is a town where it's hard to get anywhere without driving. It's nice to have the freedom to come and go.

Denise and I have never rented a car, but the process was pretty simple. We might do this quite often. We just keep piling on the grown-up activities, especially since we needed to be 25 years old (ka-ching!). Then, just to increase our grown-up-ness, Denise went to open a U.S. bank account. Slowly, we are creeping towards the American Dream.

Unfortunately, despite our newfound freedom with a car, we truly must creep: a heavy snowstorm has finally arrived in Saginaw, and while the trees and lawns look lovely, they make for rather treacherous driving conditions. Looks like we're staying in tonight.

  1. yeah, I was thinking about renting but then they told me that they were going to add $2000 to the cost because I wasn't 25 yet, sooooo I just bought one instead :)

Glad you guys are enjoying the snow! Make a snowman for me!
